Employee wellbeing: Preparing for Christmas. A digital fireside chat with Benefex, Nudge & Browne Jacobson

We can’t blame employees for wanting to have a special Christmas this year.

As most people will be missing out on Christmas parties, team meals, and seeing extended family and friends, the usual feeling of decompression and relief that accompanies the end of the year won’t be the same in 2020. So, the focus for HR for the remainder of this year and well into 2021 must be to encourage employees to be more proactive about their wellbeing.

We know 2021 will continue to be difficult for employees, but we can help them better prepare financially and emotionally for the months ahead through improved education, increased recognition, and better awareness around their spending. We have foresight that we didn’t have this time last year; if we can help our people take preventative measures now, then hopefully we could help set them up for a more comfortable time in January.
