A Message for Your Chief Financial Officer – Please Pass It On

A whopping 98% of CEOs consulted for the 2021 Fortune Deloitte CEO Survey say employee mental health and wellbeing will be a priority, even after the pandemic is over. That’s great to read. But is the same true for Chief Financial Officers?

We want to know where CFOs stand. Is the business case for sustained investment in employee mental health and wellbeing now clear? Or are they struggling to assess the need and find the budget?

What is holding back employers who would still like to invest more in the mental health and wellbeing of their employees? Do they need more granular or sector specific data, or more information on the costs and benefits? Or are there other obstacles that need to be addressed?

Inviting all CFOs – we want your opinion

As part of our mission to bring more and more employers to this conversation, Make A Difference Media is running a virtual Think Tank on Friday 12th March from 3.45pm – 5.00pm for up to 20 Chief Financial Officers and Financial Directors. This is in association with GenerationCFO.com and with the kind support of Kooth plc.

The goal of the Think Tank is to have honest conversations, learn from one another and for us to understand the obstacles that CFOs and FDs are facing.

“Widening the understanding of the business case for supporting employee mental health and wellbeing will be a game changer for this agenda” Jonny Jacobs, Finance Director EMEA, Starbucks

The session will run following Chatham House Rules to encourage openness.  A report of anonymous key findings will be written up and featured on makeadifference.media and GenerationCFO.com.

Jonny Jacobs, Finance Director EMEA, Starbucks will kick-start the Think Tank with a short introductory presentation. He’ll briefly outline the macro view to ROI and tangible as well as intangible benefits of investment in supporting employee mental health and wellbeing. We’ll then split into smaller discussion groups to share thinking around a set topic before regrouping to feed back.

Pass it on…

Perhaps your CFO or FD has experience they would like to share around how they are making the business case for investment in employee mental health and wellbeing. Or maybe they would find it useful to learn from like-minded peers in a closed-door environment.

Wherever your organisation is on this journey, please pass this article on to your CFO or FD. If they would like to attend the Think Tank, they simply need to email me at [email protected].
