MAD World Summit Enters a New Era Under PMGroup Ownership

The MAD World Summit, the UK’s flagship B2B event dedicated to workplace culture, employee health and wellbeing, has entered an exciting new chapter following its acquisition by PMGroup Worldwide Ltd.

At the same time, www.makeadifference.media – the long-established sister platform to the MAD World Summit – continues to go from strength to strength as an independent business, led by Claire Farrow and managed separately through Make a Difference Media and Events.

A natural evolution for two complementary platforms

Since their inception, www.makeadifference.media and the MAD World Summit have played complementary roles in advancing workplace health, wellbeing, culture and performance. Together, they’ve supported thousands of employers to move beyond awareness and towards practical, preventative and inclusive strategies that make a measurable difference.

As the MAD World Summit moves into its next phase under PMGroup’s ownership, Make a Difference Media and Events will continue its mission as a global learning space for employers – supporting the market year-round through editorial content, webinars, podcasts, reports, its peer-learning, suppliers guide, Leaders’ Club and thought leadership.

Both organisations remain aligned in purpose and committed to collaboration, ensuring the momentum behind workplace health and wellbeing continues to build.

Strengthening workplace health & wellbeing

Since launching in 2018, the MAD World Summit has brought together leaders from HR, Finance, Benefits, DE&I, Health & Safety, Learning & Development, Occupational Health, Communications and Culture – all united by the ambition to embed health and wellbeing into the core of business strategy.

The acquisition by PMGroup Worldwide Ltd brings renewed investment, expanded industry networks and enhanced resources, strengthening the Summit’s position as the UK’s foremost conference for organisations committed to building resilient, supportive and high-performing workplaces.

Scaling impact through strategic investment

PMGroup Worldwide Ltd is a leading international multi-channel media group producing magazines, websites, events and communications programmes across healthcare, life sciences and related sectors. Part of the Datateam Media Group, PMGroup brings decades of experience in growing influential platforms that drive meaningful change.

The acquisition of the MAD World Summit reflects PMGroup’s commitment to scaling impact and accelerating progress.

Karl Equi, Executive Director at PMGroup Worldwide Ltd, commented:

“We are committed to investing in and scaling this event to become the indispensable forum for business leaders who understand that employee health and wellbeing is not a side issue, but the foundation of sustainable performance and resilience.”

A proud legacy and a collaborative future

The acquisition also marks an important milestone for MAD World’s founders, who launched the summit with a clear ambition to change the narrative around workplace health and culture in Europe.

Mark Pigou, Co-Founder of MAD World, said:

“Launching and growing MAD World has been an incredible journey. We’re proud to have built a platform that truly moves the dial. Handing it over to Datateam and PMGroup ensures its future growth and impact, allowing the movement we started to reach its full potential.”

Under Claire Farrow’s leadership, www.makeadifference.media will continue to support the MAD World Summit and collaborate with PMGroup to advance a shared mission: healthier workplaces, stronger cultures and sustainable performance.

Looking ahead to MAD World Summit 2026

As organisations navigate ongoing change, the need for inclusive, preventative and sustainable health and wellbeing strategies has never been more critical. The MAD World Summit remains a must-attend event for business leaders who recognise that this is both a human and a strategic imperative.
