Podcast: Energising the Employee Experience by Adding the Human Factor to Mental Health Strategies

mercer-crop-exact[1]

In our recent Make A Difference webinar: “Tackle toxicity and forge a culture of mental health in the workplace”, Jill Williams, an Organisational Psychologist working for strategic mental health and wellbeing partner Feel Good, called for employers to use the “burning platform” provided by the pandemic to put human experience and mental health at the core of how we work.

Picking up this theme, in this episode of Mercer’s Energising the Employee Experience podcast, Dr Wolfgang Seidl, Mercer Marsh Benefits’ Partner and Workplace Health Consulting Leader for UK and Europe, discusses with Simon Berger, co-founder Make A Difference, the strides organisations are making with their mental health strategies and what more needs to be done to really move the dial.

They reflect on the importance of increasing awareness of mental health in the workplace and consider the need to test approaches and be more aware of both our colleagues and clients, to ensure strategies contain that all important ‘human’ factor.
