New Webinar: How to Inclusively Support the Wellbeing of Neurodiverse Colleagues in a Hybrid World of Work

Did you know that 1 in 7 people has a neurodiverse condition? This means that a significant number of employees in every organisation might be suffering in silence – afraid to disclose. Or they may not know themselves why they are struggling.

As we make the transition to a hybrid or blended model of working, it’s more important than ever that employers understand the impact this could have on neurodiverse colleagues.

Responding to this need, Make A Difference Media is proud to announce its next free to attend interactive workshop: “Supporting the wellbeing of neurodiverse colleagues in a hybrid world of work”. The session is sponsored by Texthelp and is being run in association with Auticon.

You can register here to join us on Wednesday 6 October from 10.00am – 11.15am.

Embracing different ways of thinking

Employers are increasingly recognising the strengths and skills associated with neurodevelopmental conditions such as dyslexia, autism or ADHD. Yet many don’t realise that people who are neurodiverse are also statistically far more likely than the rest of the population to suffer from anxiety and depression.

Taking place during National Dyslexia Week, we’ll be celebrating different ways of thinking and working. We’ll also share practical insights you can put in place to actively support the wellbeing of neurodiverse colleagues in a hybrid workplace as part of your approach to inclusion, mental health and wellbeing.

Issues that the workshop will cover include:

  • What neurodiversity is – its strengths and challenges
  • Pluses and minuses for neurodiverse colleagues of the hybrid world of work that employers need to be aware of, as well as adaptations they might need to consider
  • How to approach recruiting neurodiverse colleagues
  • When and how you have a conversation about neurodiversity and how to make sure these conversations are inclusive
  • Insight into how inclusive technology is a great enabler in today’s work spaces
  • Case study – how KPMG is proactively supporting the wellbeing of neurodiverse colleagues

Featuring input from:

  • Maria Hamilton, International Training Lead, Neurodiversity Inclusion Services, Auticon
  • Rebecca Smyth, Workplace Customer Champion, Texthelp
  • Chris Astley, Partner, Head of Connected Engineering, KPMG UK LLP
  • Neil Eustice, Diversity & Knowledge Manager, Connected Engineering, KPMG UK LLP

The content is designed for HR Leaders, Talent Managers, Equality, Diversity & Inclusion Leaders, Wellbeing Leaders and Champions. In other words, anyone, from any type or size of organisation, who is responsible for the wellbeing of neurodiverse colleagues.
