Institute Of Directors To Provide Wellbeing Programme For All Members

Today (17 November), the Institute of Directors (IoD) has announced that it will undertake a partnership with insurance company YuLife.

What Is The IoD?

IoD is a non-party political organisation, which was founded in 1903.

Membership includes directors from right across the business spectrum—from media to manufacturing, professional services to the public and voluntary sectors. Members include CEOs of large corporations as well as entrepreneurial directors of start-up companies.

The organisation was granted a Royal Charter in 1906, instructing it to “represent the interests of members and of the business community to government and in the public arena, and to encourage and foster a climate favourable to entrepreneurial activity and wealth creation.”

Why Has IoD Partnered With YuLife?

The aim of the partnership between the organisation and YuLife is to provide all 20,000 director-level members of the institution with free access to the insurance company’s app and wellbeing services.

Some of the benefits that will be available to members are 24/7 access to virtual GPs, EAP mental health support and bespoke daily rewards. These include discounts and vouchers for completing wellness activities such as cycling, meditation and walking.

“Our founding goal at IoD is to provide effective support to UK business leaders,” says Richard Townsend, IoD commercial director.

“With 82% of small business owners stating that COVID-19 has had a negative impact on their mental health and wellbeing, we explored a variety of options to make a meaningful contribution, and YuLife stood out as a unique proposition on the market.”

Does YuLife Help With Employee Engagement?

In addition to the wellbeing services provided, IoD members will be able to deepen their network and connections with one another through the YuLife app’s leaderboards, duels and community goals capabilities.

Members will also be treated to exclusive events, webinars and programmes all designed to empower SMEs and enhance their business practices.

IoD members will also experience how insurance can be used as a cost-effective commercial vehicle to boost employee wellbeing.

At its core, YuLife enables businesses to use group-risk insurance to supercharge their overall employee benefits and provide daily value to their staff.

“For too long insurance and employee wellbeing programmes have bypassed the 6,000,000+ businesses strong SME sector,” explains Sammy Rubin, CEO and founder, YuLife.
