Movers & Shakers in workplace culture, employee health and wellbeing

Meeting, group and applause for business woman, praise and congratulations on promotion in creative startup. Happy team, support and clapping for success, excellence or celebrate good job in workshop.

Our Movers and Shakers articles highlight who’s moving up, out or across in the rapidly evolving world of workplace culture, employee health and wellbeing. Here’s a selection of just a few of the many “movers and shakers” that grabbed my attention in July 2025…

Helena Bach, Virgin Atlantic

First up is Helena Bach, who will be joining us to facilitate a roundtable at the Leaders’ Summit at this year’s MAD World event on 9th October. Helena has moved from Manager – Wellbeing to the role of People Operations Excellence & Rest of the World with Virgin Atlantic.

Reflecting the widespread impact of Helena’s perfect blend of empathy and efficiency, her announcement of this change on LinkedIn was welcomed with resounding positivity. This comment from her colleague Linda Porter particularly caught my eye: “Like everything else you will smash this HB. You are a superwoman”.

You can find out more about the roundtable that Helena will be facilitating at the Leaders’ Summit at MAD World here.

Helen Foster, Sodexo

Next is the fabulous Helen Foster. Helen’s 25-year career in Pensions and Benefits has seen her working for both corporates (such as Sodexo, and prior to that, The Kellogg Company), and in consultancy. Stepping up from her role as Head of Pensions, Wellbeing and Benefits UKI, Helen has been promoted to Sodexo’s Total Rewards Director.

This testimonial on Helen’s LinkedIn profile by her former manager Rachel Jones speaks volumes: “Commercially focused, Helen’s ability to lead and navigate multi million pound contracts with layers of complexity never phases or causes concern, she is always trusted and respected. A natural leader of people, empathetic and honest, patient and growth focused, belief and trust”.

Adeife Onwuzulike, Euromonitor

As a member of the Steering Committee of our Make A Difference Leaders’ Club across 2025, I’ve had the pleasure of getting to know Adeife Onwuzulike and it’s fantastic to see that her role has evolved. From Global Diversity, Equity and Inclusion Director (& Wellbeing) she has been promoted to Euromonitor’s Global Director: Culture, Engagement and Inclusion (APAC, EMEAI & Americas).

You can find out more about Adeife thoughts on how to keep Gen Z employees happy, healthy and engaged with next generation benefits in this Make A Difference webinar which she joined as a panel member.

Amanda Owen MBE, Babcock International

The stalwart of Health & Safety, Amanda Owen, has announced that she is moving on from her role as Health, Safety and Wellbeing Director with Heathrow Airport to take up a new position leading Safety, Health, Environment & Protection (SHEP) with engineering services company Babcock International.

In her LinkedIn post she wrote:

“After 16 years (in total), it’s hard to put into words what this extraordinary place has meant to me. I’m incredibly proud of what we’ve achieved together. From navigating the uncertainty of COVID, to building an industry-leading Safety Management System, being named Risk Team of the Year, and putting the health and wellbeing of our colleagues at the heart of everything — it’s been a privilege to be part of it all”.

“There really is no place like Heathrow. Thank you for the memories, the challenges, the laughter, and the purpose – especially to the FHSW Team. I’ll be cheering you on as the Team continues to flourish under new leadership”.

Sarah Churchman OBE

Last but certainly not least is Sarah Churchman OBE.

Writing on LinkedIn, Sarah explained:
