Movers & shakers in workplace culture, employee health and wellbeing

Applause, support and motivation with a business team clapping as an audience at a conference or seminar. Meeting, wow and award with a group of colleagues or employees cheering on an achievement.

Our Movers and Shakers articles highlight who’s moving up, out or across in the rapidly evolving world of workplace culture, employee health and wellbeing. Here are five of the many “movers and shakers” that have grabbed my attention in August and September 2025.

Their job titles are varied, reflecting the diversity of our network, which aims to bring together all stakeholders responsible for workplace culture, employee health, and wellbeing – breaking down silos to REALLY make a difference and advance best practice.

Dr Richard Peters

First up is the inimitable Dr Richard Peters, who took the next step in his illustrious career in September – joining Jaguar Land Rover (JLR) as their Chief Medical Officer. According to his LinkedIn profile, this role involves leading the development and delivery of JLR’s global health, safety, and wellbeing strategy.

He does this by advising the People Leadership team, Chapter leads, and Board on evolving global requirements, while managing business-wide risks through the Business Health Strategy and Agenda. This ensures the organisation remains resilient and future-ready in a changing global landscape.

In August, Richard also took up the mantle of a Trustee for the Film and TV Charity, an organisation that, for just over a century, has supported those working behind the scenes in the UK’s film, TV, and cinema industry when things are tough.

You can read more about Richard’s global approach here and about one aspect of JLR’s approach to supporting employee wellbeing here.

Rashree Chhatrisha

Next, is Rashree Chhatrisha, who in September, after 4 years as Reward and Benefits Director with SAGA Group Plc, took up her new Pensions and Governance role with capital market company ZEDRA Group.

Writing on LinkedIn Rashree explained: “Delighted to share that I have joined the ZEDRA Inside Pensions team. I am looking forward to this new chapter and the opportunity to grow with an incredible team.

We have had the pleasure of getting to know Rashree well over the past few years and she has been on the Steering Committee for the Leaders’ Club across 2025. We wish you well in this new role. You can read more about Rashree’s approach in this article which looks at whether your employees are really aware of the benefits of your employee benefits.

David Bucksley

Reflecting the wide range of job roles that encompass workplace culture, employee health and wellbeing, is David Bucksley, who has in September started his new role as Health Safety and Wellbeing Director – UK & Ireland with BAM UK & Ireland.

David is a CMIOSH qualified health, safety and wellbeing (HS&W) professional who is committed to achieving the highest standards and improving Health, Safety & Wellbeing throughout the construction industry. Other construction companies that David has worked for include Skanska UK and Sir Robert McAlpine.

His approach is largely based around a model that he has created called the ‘cycle of success’. This incorporates five key focus areas to achieve best in class performance: Competence, Process, Culture, Compliance and Learning.

Fiona King

Again, reflecting the diversity of roles with a workplace culture, employee health and wellbeing remit, Fiona King announced on LinkedIn in September that after nine years at HS2, she has moved on to a new challenge with Route Services at Network Rail.

She writes: “My time at HS2 was nothing short of transformative – filled with innovation, cultural shifts, and a growing recognition of the importance of Occupational Health. I had the privilege of working with passionate teams across all levels, seeing a real evolution in understanding, leadership, and the use of data to build evidence-based practices that truly will make a difference. A heartfelt thank you to everyone I worked with — I learned so much and am very proud to have contributed to the HS2 project”

Fiona is excited to be part of the team at Route Services and to continue driving forward the health and wellbeing agenda.

Khalil Rener

Last but certainly not least is Khalil Rener who, whilst still running Ridgeflow Performance as his main role, has been appointed as Wellbeing Lead for Training & Consultancy with Health Shield.

In this role, Khalil will be working closely with Health Shield Wellbeing to deliver a wide range of Health and Wellbeing Workshops and Manager Training courses both virtually, and face to face. Designed to help promote health and wellbeing in the workplace, Khalil will support Health Shield clients to increase awareness and drive engagement in topics such as Mental Health & Resilience, Burnout Prevention, Gut Health, Menopause, Digital Detox and much more.

We wish all of our movers and shakers well in their new roles and look forward to hearing all about your new accomplishments.
