Movers and shakers in workplace culture, employee health and wellbeing

Group of business professionals silhouetted against a sunset, jumping and celebrating career moves and new opportunities in workplace health, wellbeing and culture leadership

Our Movers and Shakers articles highlight who’s moving up, out or across in the rapidly evolving world of workplace culture, employee health and wellbeing. Here’s a selection of just a few of the many “movers and shakers” that have grabbed my attention in March 2026…

Lauren von Stackelberg

First up is Lauren von Stackelberg. After nearly four years catalysing inclusive change as LEGO Group’s Diversity and Inclusion Officer & Global Head of Wellbeing, VP, Lauren is stepping into an elevated leadership opportunity at the LEGO Group, serving as their new Global Head of Social Responsibility.

Announcing the move on LinkedIn, Lauren wrote: “This is an unmatched opportunity to meaningfully contribute to one of the most cherished and mission-critical parts of our LEGO ecosystem”.

With this expanded responsibility, Lauren will pass the torch of leadership on Diversity & Inclusion to a new leader and on Wellbeing to LEGO Group’s VP Rewards, Kent Frederiksen and Lisette de Jonge, Senior Manager Global Wellbeing.

Lauren added: “I am proud of how deeply aligned our D&I and Wellbeing work is with our People Promise and confident we have incredibly talented teams, robust plans and a strong foundation to continue to scale and deliver impact on these important agendas”.

Kristen A. Pressner

Next, is Kristen A. Pressner, who after 21 years with Swiss multinational healthcare company Roche – 10 years of which as their Global Head People & Culture – has taken on the role of Chief People Officer with Finnish multinational telecommunications, information technology, and consumer electronics corporation Nokia.

Announcing the move on LinkedIn, Nokia said: “Kristen brings more than three decades of global experience across people, culture and transformation and throughout her career has been recognised for shaping inclusive, high-performing organisations and enabling business impact at scale”.

“As we continue our evolution into the AI era, Kristen will play a key role in aligning culture, capabilities and ways of working to support the next chapter”.

Rachel Thompson

Our next Mover & Shaker is Rachel Thompson who shared on LinkedIn that she is starting a new position as Global Senior Benefits, Wellbeing and Recognition Manager at software and business solutions company Sage.

Rachel has been at Sage for 10 years, working in recruitment and colleague experience before taking on the role of Global Senior Wellbeing Manager in 2021.

Commenting on her time with Sage on LinkedIn Rachel wrote: “It has been a decade of learning, growing, and navigating challenges I could not have imagined when I started. What stands out most is how much we achieve when we show up with curiosity, resilience, and care for both our work and the people around us”.

Consolidating her expertise, Rachel recently completed with distinction year 2 (of 3 years) of the Master’s in Workplace Health and Wellbeing with the University of Nottingham. You can read more about “Professionalising the Wellbeing role through qualifications” in this feature.

Dan Fulker

Next on my list is Dan Fulker, who has taken up the role of Health and Wellbeing Manager, UK with electricity generation company RWE.

Dan has a wealth of experience, having worked in health and wellbeing management roles for Microsoft, Nomura, Nuffield Health and Oxfordshire County Council.

Charles Alberts & Jackie Buttery

Last but certainly not least, we have two trailblazers from the legal sector who have both announced that they are moving on.

Announcing his move on LinkedIn, Charles Alberts wrote: “After nearly four years, today I bid a fond farewell to everyone at Clifford Chance. When I joined in 2022, the global wellbeing and people experience role was brand new — a rare opportunity to build something from the ground up. I’m grateful for the trust placed in me to shape the vision, set the strategy, and implement an ambitious programme”.

Charles is taking some time to recharge before stepping into whatever comes next.

Meanwhile, Jackie Buttery announced, also on LinkedIn, that after nearly seven years leading Employee Benefits, Reward and Wellbeing initiatives inside Travers Smith to help cement its reputation as an employer of choice, she is spreading her wings.

“Further news to come” she says, “but for now, thanks again to everyone who has supported me along the way”.

We wish all of our Movers and Shakers the best of luck as you start this new chapter of your lives.
